Staci Fiock is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP-BC) at Wellness Rheumatology, where she partners with patients living with autoimmune, inflammatory, and chronic rheumatologic conditions.
Staci believes the most important part of any appointment happens before a single test is ordered: listening. Rheumatologic conditions rarely announce themselves clearly. They surface as fatigue that no one else can see, as stiffness that makes mornings hard, as pain that patients have often been told to live with. She takes the time to hear the whole story, because the details patients think are unimportant are frequently the ones that matter most.
Her approach is collaborative rather than directive. She explains what she’s seeing and why, walks through the options in plain language, and makes sure patients leave understanding not just what they’re taking but what it’s for. She believes patients manage their conditions best when they genuinely understand them and that trust, once earned, is what makes long-term care work.
She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Arlington and brings a background in acute and complex adult care to the rheumatology setting, an experience base that shapes how she evaluates symptoms, anticipates complications, and builds treatment plans that hold up over the long term.
Staci’s training as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner prepared her to care for adults across the full spectrum of complexity, with depth in the needs of older patients, those managing several conditions at once, navigating multiple medications, and balancing treatment against quality of life. That perspective is a natural fit for rheumatology, where care is rarely about a single diagnosis in isolation.
At Wellness Rheumatology she works alongside Dr. Ayesha Kanwal to provide continuity across the patient journey. From initial evaluation and diagnostic workup through ongoing disease monitoring, medication management, and infusion therapy oversight. She is credentialed to conduct comprehensive assessments, order and interpret diagnostic testing, prescribe and manage medications, and adjust treatment plans as a patient’s condition evolves.
